Description
Twin macadamia nuts are a rare natural occurrence, with fewer than 1% of all macadamia nuts developing this way. Just as some families are more likely to have twins, certain macadamia trees are naturally more likely to produce twin nuts.
When the outer husk is removed, a twin macadamia nut reveals two perfectly formed halves growing together inside a single husk. This unique shape isn’t just interesting—it also makes these nuts especially popular for parrots. Because each half has a flat side, the shell is naturally weaker than that of a typical round macadamia nut, making it easier for many parrots to crack open. Twin macadamia nuts are an excellent choice for younger birds, smaller species, or parrots that are still building confidence with harder-shelled nuts, while still providing the enrichment and satisfaction of opening a nut on their own.
Because twin macadamia nuts are so rare, our supply is very limited. To give more customers the opportunity to enjoy them, we sell them exclusively in 4-pound increments while supplies last.
