We are a family macadamia nut farm located on the Hilo side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our 18-acre property is home to a thriving macadamia nut orchard, along with a diverse variety of fruit trees and ornamental plants. Our farm is rooted in family values, sustainability, and a commitment to producing the highest quality in shell macadamia nuts.

Our premium in shell mac nuts are grown in rich Hawaiian volcanic mineralized soils on the slopes of Mauna Loa. These unique growing conditions contribute to exceptional flavor and nutritional value, providing essential nutrients such as calcium, vitamin B6, manganese, iron, magnesium, zinc, and omega 3, 7, and 9 fatty acids.

Sustainable, Pesticide-Free Farming Practices

We are proud to be 100% pesticide free. Our orchard is maintained naturally using mowers along with a small herd of sheep and goats to manage weeds and grass. This environmentally responsible approach allows us to protect our land, our animals, and the quality of our macadamia nuts.

As a family of animal lovers, our farm is also home to dogs, cats, and a variety of birds. Our children are actively involved in farm life and enjoy helping with the macadamia nut harvest, learning firsthand the value of agriculture, responsibility, and stewardship of the land.

Our Family, Our Purpose

Our farm is truly a family effort. Our two daughters love spending time outdoors and assisting with the macadamia nut harvest, and our youngest child, our son Tristan, is a constant source of inspiration for us. Tristan was born with a rare congenital heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and spent the first seven months of his life in a hospital on the mainland receiving specialized medical care. Since returning home to Hawaii, he has been doing very well and now enjoys exploring the farm alongside his big sisters, Kenzie and Abby.

His journey has profoundly shaped our family’s perspective, reinforcing our gratitude, resilience, and commitment to building something meaningful and sustainable for future generations. These values guide the care we put into our land, our animals, and the premium macadamia nuts we grow and share.

Our Journey Through the 2018 Kilauea Eruption

Our original macadamia nut farm was located in Pahoa, off Pohoiki Road, and was tragically destroyed during the 2018 Kilauea lava eruption. That orchard was highly productive and home to more than 1,000 macadamia nut trees. With only a couple weeks’ notice, we evacuated our home and farm equipment before the property was overtaken by lava and buried nearly 30 feet deep.

While the landscape changed dramatically, it remains beautiful in a new way. The area now offers sweeping ocean views, visible volcanic fissures, and a view of the nearby geothermal plant. This experience strengthened our resolve and deepened our connection to the land and community of Hawaii.

A New Orchard and Trusted Local Partnerships

At our current location, our orchard consists of approximately 9 acres of macadamia nut trees. To ensure a consistent supply while maintaining our high standards, we also source macadamia nuts from neighboring farms. All nuts are carefully selected, frequently harvested, and held to the same quality expectations as our own crop. We sell only the best in shell macadamia nuts available on the island.
